Black Wall Street Reno & Christa Bell Host Unforgettable Gala Celebrating Black Leadership and Excellence


Reno, NV – February 15, 2025 – On Saturday, February 15, 2025, the highly anticipated Black Wall Street Reno Gala took place at The Virgil Event Center in downtown Reno, bringing together the city’s finest leaders and entrepreneurs for an evening of elegance, recognition, and celebration. Hosted by Romar Tolliver and Donald Griffin of Black Wall Street Reno and Christa Bell, and founder of Bell of the Ball, the event was an extraordinary celebration of Black leadership and the incredible impact of Black-owned businesses in the Reno community.

The gala honored the hard work and dedication of local Black-owned companies, highlighting their contributions to the economic growth and vitality of the region. The evening featured a spectacular awards ceremony, where community leaders were celebrated for their exceptional work and continued commitment to uplifting the Black community. This recognition was a powerful reminder of the incredible strides being made and the importance of supporting Black-owned businesses.

“Tonight was about acknowledging the immense talent, resilience, and achievements of our local Black entrepreneurs and community leaders,” said Christa Bell, co-organizer of the event. “It’s a proud moment to showcase the amazing work happening right here in Reno.”


The event was also graced by Faces of Success Radio and TV, who broadcasted the entire evening, with the charismatic radio and TV personality Pearl J. hosting and providing insight throughout the event. Faces of Success Radio is a well-known, established Black-owned business, and is, also recognized within the community as Black Wall Street Sparks, were proud to be a part of the evening’s festivities.



Notable Black-owned businesses in attendance and recognized during the gala included Simply Manifested, Next Home, Top Notch, Jack of All Fades, and The Recipe Box. Guests were also treated to a remarkable live performance by the talented Margret Funk Band, led by the incredible Margret Wright, whose soulful vocals and dynamic presence added a special touch to the evening.


This celebration was a true testament to the power of community, collaboration, and support. With continued efforts to uplift Black businesses and leadership, the future of Reno’s Black community has never looked brighter.
